Delete Your Account & Data

You can permanently delete your Alt Chat account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how.

Delete from the app or the website (fastest)

On altchat.com, open Edit Profile → Account →Delete. In the Android or iOS app, go to Edit Profile and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, content and sign-in credentials. No email or waiting is required.

Request deletion when you can’t sign in

Use the deletion request form in the Support Center — it only asks for the username or email of the account. Or email support@alt-chat.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. To help us find your account, include your username if you know it. We verify the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: display name, username, bio, birthday, gender, orientation, interests and mood.
• Your photos: profile and gallery images you uploaded.
• Your content: posts, poll votes, comments, wall posts, ratings and direct messages.
• Your sign-in credentials and location data.

What may remain briefly

Some records may persist for a short period in encrypted backups, or as anonymized/tombstoned data, where needed to keep the community safe, prevent abuse, or comply with the law. These are not tied to your identity and age out over time.
